About Rachael Anra:
Hi, my name is Rachael Antone, but I go by “Rachael Anra” for my business and online. I am an Akimel O’odham artist and writer who lives in Arizona on the Gila River Reservation (located south of Phoenix), and I come from Vah-ki. When making art, one of my main goals is to weave the external world with my own inner world.
From a young age, I’ve always had a hard time expressing myself, which is why creating art and expressing myself is another goal of mine. It’s why I lean towards dreamy, surreal elements, because it allows me to incorporate different elements at once. My artwork ranges from emotional pieces to nature-based artworks to culturally focused art.
Digital art is my primary medium, and I have been making art full-time for five years now. “Rachael Anra” was established on July 7, 2020, and deciding to be an artist was a whim type of thing. My relationship with art was very limited, and I definitely wouldn’t have considered myself an artist. However, this was something I just wanted to try, and it turned out to be the first time I found passion for something. I enjoy creating artwork and putting it on a variety of items for others to enjoy. At the moment, my products include: a variety of stationery items, handmade cards, tote bags, shirts, and more.
